Theres the steam workshop, where a simple click on subscribe will add the mod. It's worth getting, simply for the variety of game variants it features. If there are mods for it you can download them. I'm part of a Vietnam War RP server, the only one running they particular mod. There's always a community for even small mods. Of course, Garry's Mod is great for mods, too. Desura has lots of great mods that require HL2, my personal favorite being Blind Monk society. The Source engine has spawned innumerable mods, some of which have gotten moderately famous (Dear Esther, The Ship). Historically, Half Life 2 has been great for mods. It's an excellent game for mods based on large-scale battles. The Mount and Blade series has some incredible overhauls, turning the game into a GoT or LOTR universe. I'm on mobile, so I can't link it right now.Īny of the TES games, especially Skyrim, have great mods, varying from simple changes to full-on remakes or expansions.įar Cry 3 is relatively new to the mod scene, but it's got some decent overhauls that really make it a new game. Pretty much any game on the Nexus network has a decent selection of mods.
